چکیده

Abstract In order to solve the problems of difficult measurement, inaccurate results and serious interference diffusion attenuation in nondestructive evaluation grain size magnesium alloy components with complex profile, sound field models plane, cylindrical conical parts based on multiple Gaussian beam method are studied, mechanism ultrasonic propagation medium curved test blocks analyzed, An loss correction is proposed eliminate influence total amount attenuation. The show that velocity can effectively reduce system error improve accuracy profile.

Ultrasonic Nondestructive Testing Method for Evaluation of Annular Seals

Drilling boreholes is common practice in geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations and in various other ex ploration, testing, and monitoring appli cations. When a casing is placed in a borehole an annular space is created be tween the casing and the surrounding soil. If not properly sealed, this annular space can be a potential path for trans port of contaminants in the subsurface e...

Using the Ultrasonic Nondestructive Methods for Prediction of Mechanical Properties of AISI 4140 Alloy Steel

Achieving the mechanical properties of steels after various manufacturing and heat treatment processes is significant and essential. In production lines, after producing the specific and standard samples, mechanical properties have been measured by destructive processes which cause waste of cost and time. In addition, destructive techniques cannot detect the miniscule changes made in mechanical...

Influence of the grain size on the in vivo degradation behaviour of the magnesium alloy LAE442.

The aim of this study was to investigate the differences in the in vivo degradation behaviour of magnesium implants with various grain sizes and damaged surfaces. For this purpose, three different LAE442 magnesium implants were produced: cast, single and double extruded implants, in order to obtain different grain sizes. Furthermore, defects were positioned on the surfaces of some of the single...
